The Khorumi Dance Ensemble was founded in 2002 under the patronage of the Georgian Government and behind the leadership of esteemed dancer, Temuri Bibileishvili. Originally serving as an educational center, preserving and presenting Georgian Traditional dance, the ensemble has risen to become a premier dance ensemble within its native land and has been chosen by the Georgian Government to serve as a cultural ambassador, showcasing the un-fading Georgian folk choreography to audiences throughout the world.
With a repertoire of some 15 choreographic pieces ranging from the powerful swordplay of the ‘Farikaoba’ to the amorous tones of the “Khazbeguri,” the company’s power, professionalism and flair have earned it numerous decorations, and awards; the pride of its nation, and the affection of its audiences.
